Take a piece of paper and divide it in half, one side is V6 and the other side V8. List all the things you would do to your car to make it go LOW 12 or HIGH 11s and then tally up the cost of the parts. This is facts not personal opinion. Many of the ls3 engine parts, suspension and tranny needs to be replaced any way!
