in some cases a soild engine tie down plate on the driver front head with spherical hardware can allow cushy motor mounts to do thier cushy job while preventing engine wrap, torque stear, and counter acting a small percentage of drive line loss.
if noise or vibration is an issue it can be removed for daily use
then can be re-installed in less than 5 minutes for fun weekends at the track
Seen pleanty on Gen1 SBC / V6 Turbo Grand Nats
I'm yet to see on an LS3/L99
