Yes.. I did..
With all my success on my car with plasti-dip, I thought that I'd remove the stock vinyl hood stripes and plasti-dip them on.
My problem is when I decided to use rattlecan satin black to paint them on instead.
My tape job was fine.. but I learned that it was too large of an area to do a rattlecan job effectively.. needed an HLVP setup and a 1-stage professional auto paint.
Luckily, I have a friend who owns a body shop and was able to help me out..
Still cost me $1,000... but that also included painting all my stripes on and the rear black out.
Turned out ok, and I now have the painted stripes I've been wanting.
But I had to sacrifice the money I saved for my headers to do it.
