The whole nuburgring hero lap thing is so out of control. This trend is catered to magazine racers with track experience amounting to 16 hours of Gran Turismo on PS3. Comparing lap times between different cars with different drivers, on different days, on such a large track is about as good as arm wrestling over Skype. Why don't we just stop having organized F1 races and let everyone just get to the track when they feel like it and compare lap times? No worries, they'll all record their own times and make sure their own cars abide by regulations.
