My dealer's service department kept the car for two days (talk about separation anxiety!). They said they checked everything on the engine and the car's computer, but couldn't find any cause for the problem. They then reset the computer, so hopefully that will solve the problem.
By the way, the loaner the dealer gave me was an '09 Impala. I can attest that the Impala can do 0-60 in just under 10 minutes. It sure is nice to have my car back and some power under the hood again!

fyi - u do have an early VIN, regardless of what anyone tells u. u have 4345th 5th generation Camaro produced. congrats on that!
if i were you, i'd contact ur dealer and request a copy of your Workbench and Build Sheet. they can print off both in no time!
the Workbench will show you the date ur Camaro was ordered and the date that each event code changed, including the day it was built. and the build sheet will show all the codes used to build it. i'll bet $$$$ that on ur build sheet, there's an R6P "early order activity" code.
