They can get a quote online of how much it will cost to add.

But strongly recommend neither. Get a used car so you can get used to the responsibility and wouldn't have to worry about scratching it.

You can get a REALLY cool 3+ yr old car loaded with much lower insurance than a new car thats just a base model. A loaded car is much more fun.


BTW:
Guys, I recommend not making assumptions. 16 yr old doesn't automatically mean irresponsible, spoiled, etc. Each person is different.
