i'd go to help ya out, but i'm a little far away lol...love car shopping tho.
definitely find out what discounts you're eligible for...it's your responsiblilty to know that; credit unions, costco, alumni associations, etc are all common.
if your credit's not the greatest, definitely haggle...and when you get them down as far as they're willing to go, have them draw up the quote and take it to the next dealer (or two or three) and ask them if they can beat it. then get them to print a quote and go back to #1...don't even talk trade-in until you've settled on a price for the camaro. trade-in should be the last thing you and the salesman talk about.
also, you might want to decide how you're going to finance before stepping onto the lot. a lot of credit unions have great rates on auto loans...www.bankrate.com might help you search your local APRs...
anyway, like you said, it's a want not a need, so if they're not giving you what you think you deserve, walk away. it won't be hard to find another 1LT/RS A6 with a sunroof somewhere else
