rims are the outer hoop of metal on the wheel. The wheel is the metal bit thats between the tire and hub

Bumper................................Fascia
The fascia is the entire front (or rear) body panel of the car. Bumpers are impact absorbing elements that are now usually hidden behind the fascia

Front Quarter Panel...............Front Fender
Rear Fender..........................Rear Quarter Panel
To my knowledge, this is just the result of a strange rule. Fenders out front, quarter panels out back. Rear fenders and front quarter panels don't seem to exist

Motor..................................Engine
Actually, both terms are equally acceptable and there are no real technical distinctions between them. Whether to use one or the other largely depends on context, and even then it gets complicated (ie, you have to pull the motor when doing an engine swap)

Trunk Lid.............................Deck Lid
I know of no reason why the lid for the truck cannot be called a trunk lid. Please explain

Blinker................................Turn Signal
Well ... it does blink, right?

Gas Pedal............................Accelerator
I don't really have a problem with using the term 'gas pedal' unless the vehicle uses something other than gasoline (ie, diesel, electricity, hydrogen, etc)

Emergency Brake..................Parking Brake
If you never use your parking brake .... don't count on it working in an emergency. Actually, even if you do use it regularly for parking, don't count on it working in an emergency.

Fan Belt..............................Accessory Drive Belt
Well ... if its a belt that only powers the fan, calling it a fan belt is fine. But since more cars have electric fans (& numerous other driven accessories), its kinda passe

A splitter is mostly parallel to the pavement, while an air dam is angled at something around 45 degrees.
Rear Wing..............................Spoiler
A wing is elevated above the trunk lid. A spoiler is either integrated into the shape of the trunk or it sits on top in a wedge-shape
That covers that, to the best of my knowledge

Actually, gen 5 isn't really anything (at least in a Camaro context). Though if mentioned a gen 5 in one of your posts, I'd assume you meant the next generation of small block V8s from GM, such as the new LT1. The current Camaro is commonly referred to as a 5th gen. Additionally, C5 is sometimes an abbreviation of Camaro5.com (C5Fest, for example)
