I'd stay away from the remote mount setups, although the lag has gotten better. I personally would stay away from a large single turbo. I have tranny mounted twin turbos (from IPS) and have no issues with lag. There's plenty of cars making 650whp+ all day long. I've been in single turbo cars (not a camaro) and although they're fast, the spool usually sucks, even with the A/R upgrades and a billet wheel, ball bearings, etc.
