Peg-leg burnout...kinda

Twice now, on the 3rd pass of a set of hot-laps, the diff on my car felt and sounded 'funny' and only did a 1-wheel burnout.

After having a chance to cool down, it seems fine. Is it possible that heat can cause the diff to slip rather than both wheels grab?

Any suggestions for trouble-shooting? It might be a bit problematic to get my dealer to replicate this issue and fix it under warranty.

Specifics:
Stock 2011 Automatic SS (except it has a cold air intake)
18" MT drag radials
36 passes so far (18 w/ drag radials)
Diff fluid changed at 1500 miles (13k total now)
