so since the OP lives in cali that has the most strict smog laws in the US how does this help him? you out of state LT guys need to realize that LT's do not pass smog on the visual inspection. LT's remove or relocate the cats which is illegal in cali. you can have a clean running car on LT's but the sight of them will not pass period. Shorts are legal since they do not move the factory cats. now the smart thing to do is when smog comes, remove your hf cats from the shorts (tuned or not tuned) and replace them with the stock ones. simple and easy. Tune usually only affects warranty not smog. Not everyone has a smog shop in their pockets to help overlook the visual part. so whats wrong with making due with what you can use? I trap 112-113 in the 1320 with shorts, hf cats, cai and muffler delete no tune. Ive ran right along side with LT's guys so in my experience they are not the end all to be all bolt on mod.
