I started by getting shorties because I didn't want to jeopardize my warranty with a tune. I don't race, but show, and wanted something that looks better than rusty manifolds. Then I got Solo HFCs, sounded really good and definite increase in power. This spring I said, 'WTF, car is almost 3 years old, only a couple left on warranty'. So I got dyno-tuned at New Era Performance. Another power increase. Put down 417 on their Dynojet after tune (405 pre). The only other dyno run I ever did was a portable Dynojet at mid-Ohio, before HFCs and tune, where I put down 375 (CAI and shorties). I know it's different dynos and can't really compare, but the moral of the story... wish I had of gone LTs to start with because there's still more on the table. Eh, maybe next year.
