I had the E85 tune in my Bumblebee for 2 weeks before Hurricane Sandy hit. After the storm, getting just regular gas was nearly impossible , forget about E85, so I switched the tune back to regular fuel.
If you are running E85 you cannot use regular (87,89,91,93) gas. You have to re-tune the car. I have the Trifecta tune so I am able to switch back and forth with my laptop.
My impressions after just 2 weeks of using E85. Your gas mileage will be about 5 mph less. My price of Sunoco 93 was $4.39 at the time and E85 was $2.99 (now its $3.39).
So at $2.99 I was saving over $1.30 a gallon on fill-ups ($25 per tank) and as my daily driver (car has over 79,000 miles), I fill up at least 2x a week. I couldn't feel a noticeable gain in torque, but with only 2 weeks of seat I wasnt surprised.
As the price of E85 and Super gets closer, then the savings don't add up and without the ability to use regular gas (like in Flex fuel vehicles), if I am in need of E85 and can't find a station, I am stuck!!!
So you are probably better off staying with your current set-up. Just get the regular Trifecta tune if you want to wake the car up. Send me a PM and I can let you know price and info on tune.
