Agree. Good marketing can cover up lack of functionality, at times.

That could be interpreted as a jealous comment from your friend.
Reminds me of the GT500 200+ mph marketing before the 240+ mph Camaro demo on the Austin-San Antonio closed private Texas highway.

I still occasionally use my Onstar nav out of town, as needed (awesome). I haven't yet needed to use my google nav app. Google maps app is very handy. Bluetooth and Pandora (home TV too)are my current fav apps.
The guy just doesn't know anything about cars, he even said "You sure SLK is cheaper than the SL? It has more letters"
He IS the demographic of the Slk lol, mediocre car that most ppl believe cost 6 figures until it drives

In google nav you can just tap the microphone icon, talk to it like "chinese buffet, philly" it will list all chinese buffets in the city starting from the closest to you
For google maps it will show more info like ratings and hours, directly onto the map, but it takes a bit longer to operate when you are on the run
Also if you are using google maps on your computer with the same gmail account, any locations you "Star" will automatically go to your phone nav

So I just search for a place online copy the address into google maps on my computer, star it, grab my phone and go, it will show up on google maps on the phone without any type of link or cable
