Someone correct me if I am wrong here. (I only did skim the whole thread.)
So, the oil leaking from the engine has nothing to do with the steering good correct? Either way, it sounds like the car wasn't a "good car" to begin with. Obviously the steering had a problem and the engine was leaking a good amount of oil, both of which should not happen on a new car.
