Having projector style lenses helps the HID bulb direct the light appropriately. There is a reason HID lights have these types of housings and halogens have a different style. If you care about others on the road as well as the quality of light you are putting out you really should consider this. There's really more involved than just sticking a set of HID's in the hole and turning them on.

but I love the color that it puts out :( I upgraded mine on my last car . not only I love the color but it was so much better driving at night . since I do wear glasses
