I was thinking the same thing, the gases must come up from the parking brake area. makes sense, and I like the idea of the vent, must really help things run cooler, ofcourse I'm sure it's all about making things cheaper in the long run.

yep, same thing they make Truck brake pads out of, I always hold my breath when I smell that crap, it's deadly. thye must use it in car brake pads too, look at any box of pads, it always says "do not blow off dust with air or inhale brake dust".
