I would like to take this opportunity to politely point out one more time that this setup is only ideal for people who have to pass an inspection that doesn't allow longtube headers, or for people who don't want to tune their car.

The longtubes are recommended for anyone wanting to cam their car, or anyone who doesn't fall into the category above.

JBA HF midpipes = $389
Solo HF midpipes = $575 LS3, $675 L99

BBK shorties = $300 minimum (chrome)
JBA shorties = $485 minimum ($620 for coated)

So $689 minimum for a shorties + HF cats setup new (not including install or shipping). If you intend on camming or getting longtubes someday, then that's a pretty hefty chunk of change to be throwing at a temporary mod. You'll be lucky to get half of your money back out of your used parts in the classified section.
