These factory reproductions will likely be made of cast aluminum which makes them MUCH cheaper than the OEM forged wheels. Cast wheels are on most cars from the factory because they are strong (safety) and cheaper to make in high volume. The factory SS/RS wheels are cast, for example. The biggest disadvantage to cast wheels is weight.
In the prior thread before it was removed, Doug stated that the 10" wide wheel was only 1 or 2 lbs heavier than the OEM. If that is the case, then that should make these wheels a tad lighter than the stock RS/SS 20" wheels which would be fantastic. Of course, that may change by a hair with the new wheel design.
