I'm a MacBook Pro user, and this is now my second Mac (I had a Rev. B MacBook Pro as well, that I spilled coffee on).
I've come to really love the Mac. I mean, I see why people use Windows, but it's just not for me. I play maybe one video game every five years, and the only device I own that I can't just as easily use on my Mac is my archaic film scanner, and I tolerate Windows for that.
I don't think that either is really "better", they're just different. I do a lot of photography and such, and I'd go NUTS trying to organize all of my images, etc. on a PC. I know there are solutions, but none as simple and well thought out as the Apple solutions. Now if I were a gamer, I'd probably be the exact opposite.
The only thing about OS X is that some of the permissions can be a little rough, but I stopped using Windows around 2005 and started using several different distros of Linux as my primary OS for about two years, so that makes the permissions easy for me, but for someone switching from Windows or that isn't really tech savvy I could see permissions being an occasional problem. The same could be said about spyware, viruses, etc. on the PC.
