OK, my dealer is being a real pain the butt about this. He claims that they are not giving out railcar numbers anymore? Says he called the DBC on Thursday and they told him their system was swamped and he couldn't get any info.
He also told me that up until 5 months ago GM was using a trucking company that would bring in like 10 cars at a time. Supposedly, the trucking company was facing bankruptcy and told the drivers that would have to take 15% pay cut. Since the trucking company was union that told them to shove it and the company closed the doors. Now GM is relying solely on independent truckers and they usually only bring in about 3 cars at a time which is holding up the line so to speak.
