That's why most drag cars still run old school 3 speed auto's & power glides due to not needing OD. 1:1 with a 3.45 gear should get you well into the 120's @ the track before hitting the limiter.

I read a lot of your stuff, you talk a good talk, but now I'm starting to question your practical car knowledge & how much you really know about the aspects of drag racing, or cars all together??

Your remark that I quoted really seems more like trolling than being informative. I guess I'm going to have to check with some of my friends with GT500's and see what their cars do in 4th. If you look at my sig, that list of cars is not what I have owned, it's what I own at this time, & I've been building and racing cars for going on 26 years now. I feel secure in my knowledge base & don't spend my time trolling ford forums trying to point out what I feel is wrong with their cars as you do with the new Camaros.
In my 04 STi, I had to be shift into 5th gear right before the 1/4 mile mark (yes 5th gear before 100mph). Having to shift into 5th gear right around 100mph really slowed down my 1/4 mile times.
But I guess Subaru wasn't thinking about 1/4 mile times when they planned their gearing?
