If the bearings are the same as the stock SS, then I'd think the part numbers would be the same. It really isn't completely GMs fault. They source wheels, rear ends, exhaust systems, and other parts from various vendors and don't always have an inventory of extra parts, especially if there's been a lot of failures. I'd just be thankful that the part is available from another dealership.

I am I haven't had to go thru this before with a repair in awhile.
