I owned a '74 Monte Carlo and a '75 Chevelle that I did the exact same kind of crap in. In fact, I had a taillight cut-out switch wired in so I could still see while killing the taillights so the cops couldn't see me. It worked.
Was it stupid? Oh, hell yes. But I was an indestructible teenager and never thought about the harm or consequences at all. And my parents didn't buy my cars, and it wasn't a Camaro. V-8 cars capable of 120 MPH plus.  |
