TC/Stabilitrac has saved my axx too many times to mention.
The only time I turn mine off is when I'm racing or practicing racing (doing launches, etc).
Otherwise, I need it to keep me out of trouble. I think a manual would be easier to deal with TC off. The automatic hits hard and you don't always know what gear the tranny is going to drop down to. Having the TC/Stabilitrac can be a life saver.
