There are 3 different types of bolts used in the driveshaft asembly. Some with nuts and some without.

If they are bolt/nut arrangement you will not be able to see where they have failed. The bolt and nut will be long gone.

If the "threadded into a flange" bolts fail you might see the broken stubs still threaded into the flange as they do not use a nut there.
