That's crazy it's that much more, when I had min replaced they said they cost the same. It was nearly $600 for both. But cost me $100 for the deductible.
I told her I don't have the HUD yet but I plan to install it, she said they can't replace it with a HUD windshield unless it's installed already.

This would be only the second windshield I've ever had replaced in my 35+ years of driving so I've never opted for the glass replacement rider - so it's covered under my 1k deductible. Therefore I'll pay out-of-pocket on this one. Did a local quote and the non-HUD is about $350 and the HUD is about $600.
Not a huge hurry - just playing w/ the idea right now & wondering if the HUD glass made the 'wow' difference for someone who did Ofer's HUD isntall.
