Out of curiosity, is there brackets that restrict the use of automatic trans and require a manual?

I'm not saying one is better then the other, I owned my share of Muncie 4 speeds in my days. I just don't see why some people build high HP cars with sticks for drag racing. I know I'm getting old and times are changing. But I like stick cars, I've won a lot of money off misses shifts.

And yes the track I race at has Stick shift only races.
