Yes, exactly. You have to be careful not to hit the Paddles very hard with your knee or with anything else.
Even if you manage to brake or scratch that plastic housing, we do have a simple fix, just PM and I will send you the details.

Makes sense, you're replacing a plastic button that doesn't stick out at all that then connects into a plastic housing with a piece of pretty strong metal that is longer into the same plastic housing..if it gets hit hard enough and in the right way I absolutely see the plastic breaking, we know the aluminum isn't going to give while it is in a plastic setting - but you can be assured that plastic is.
I haven't got mine in yet but I will be interested to inspect myself. I don't see this as a problem for regular use though, only those times you manage to punch a paddle with way more than tap shift force or carelessly hitting your knee/leg on it.
