If you are going to keep it for a long time, buy what you like.

If you know you will be selling it, then a more standard color scheme is better.

The majority of the tops are black. Beige is another factory option (or at least it was). You can get blue if you order/buy a "Dusk" edition. You can get maroon/purple if you can find a Neiman Marcus edition.
