What, was there was no labor cost involved with the Camaro? I guess that’s okay, because I did the install of everything on my car except setting up the gears, so my labor costs were $250.
Secondly, only ~$8,100 worth of the modifications you listed did anything to improve the power/times for the car. Everything else is cosmetic and does nothing to help the car get down the track.
Kenne Bell 2.8L Stage III supercharger kit $5000
Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm $279.95
Steeda Billet Aluminum Lower Control Arms $279.95
DSS One-Piece Aluminum Driveshaft $799.99 (Not necessary, but insurance)
Magnaflow Axlebacks $508.99 (Even though I only paid $300 for them).
Mickey Thompson 265/40/18 ET Street Radial $550
BMR LCA Relocation Brackets $134.95
AFCO Dual Pass Heat Exchanger $439.99
3.73 Gears $169.99
Thirdly, here’s the time slip you so desparately wanted to see, so let’s correct the numbers:
Total needed to run a 10.76 @ 131mph = $51,325
Total needed to run a 11.29 @ 121mph = $41,449
Difference in money to run 5/10th’s faster = $9,876
And I would be remiss if I did not point out that I have the ability to turn up the wick by another 80-100rwhp on my car with a pulley change and some race gas. You’re pretty much at the limits of the stock internals with the Camaro and will need to fill the bottle from time to time. That means even more $$ every time you hit the track.
