It is called an optical illusion...... Did you ever look down the road when you are driving? Do the lines on both sides of the road look parallel? No they do not. They are but they look like they are coming to a point don't they? You are dealing with multiple views, two different installs, and with the compound curves of the hood, they will always look different from a different point of view.
