BTW - I have realized that my tip trailer is a really bad idea if the car is immobile. Shopping for a winch just in case. Already have a good tow hook.

$20 in 2x10 wood planks will get you fixed right up. You are right they are a trip to drive up those steep short tilts. I will try to draw you a photo of what to build and post up later.
Great tie down choice as well. Cant get much more secure than that.
