I have to say I like the front of the refresh (gasp) better than the current SS. To me it looks better, especially the lower grille area. The old lower area was too small IMO, especially after seeing the ZL1. I appreciate the functionality hood extractor but am uncertain about the looks of it (I was the same for the Stingray). I don’t know about the rear. So far the pictures are too low quality to make any good judgment.
Same story with every change, 100% of people aren’t going to respond well. I really can’t believe the reactions on here – asking if people are getting fired, if the Camaro will fail, why they didn’t ask ‘me’ first, etc. It really isn’t that bad. Didn’t people hate the mail slot? Well now it is gone. If the Camaro never changed people would complain about that, too. And look! No “Camaro Taillights” for the Stingray anymore! Wait - maybe I can believe it. It is a very typical and predictable reaction.
The good news is that if you liked the old one better there are plenty out there for you to choose from. The auto industry is always moving, accept it and move on. Does anyone remember "the Homer"? That probably isn't far off from what would happen if the masses were allowed designed cars.
I’m one of those hoping for more performance related news today. If they do what we are all hoping they will these minor cosmetic changes will not matter to me personally.
