Look here! As one of the first to do the muffler delete I read threads like this in pure amazement. Some of you that have just gotten your cars and some that are very close to getting them are trying to get the facts on this situation. I see a lot of the very same guys swaying back and forth on this issue nearly daily. The facts are presented from two sides here. One side is current Camaro owners that have already done the Muffler Delete. The other side is from a group of vendors that want to sell their systems. As an owner that does not want a dime from you or look at the group as a market base I say this. The muffler delete sounds great and will give you more HP and
Torque. Now if I would get the hundred dollar return by selling you a system I would rush right out and get the dyno results to prove it to you. Howerver, there already have been dyno's performed that have shown just the muffler delete produced 17 HP and 10 lbs of torque. But those results have been swept under the table by just words and a picture of a sliced up jerry can. Come on guys wake up. To the vendors that are out there and on the forum I have this to say. I like your stuff. In fact I will buy your system when I am ready for that modification. Long tube headers and 3" pipes with a set of high flow cats is right in my plan. But dont BS the Camaro bretheren by telling them they cant get by in the interm by a simple muffler delete. We will be your customer soon but maybe we have the other basic mods and taxes and plates pressing us right now. But because we dont want the whisper quiet stock system and your sly words and smoke and mirrors confuse us we think there is no other choice for us right now. Once again, I want to make it perfectly clear. I want a full system and will get one but right now I am totally satisfied with my low cost (under 200) custom mod and everyone that has heard it loves it and there is no highway drone and no adverse effects from doing it. My fellow Camaro friends, only you can decide but dont just rely on pictures and words, ask for your fellow members opinions and advice and balance it with the words and data of someone that has something to sell you. In the words of Forrest Gump. Thats all I have to say about that!
