You don't need or want more capacity. The PF48 is perfect in all aspects. You don't want a longer filter that would be in the line of fire for road debris.
If there was some problem with the the pf48s. I could see the point to this great search for something better. There isn't, it works perfect.
The only different filter you would need for an LS motor is if you have a dry sump set up that has super high start up oil pressure like the LS7 motor. Then you want the thick can version of the pf48, UPF48R.
Spend your money on the best oil you can find... Amsoil, Joe Gibbs, Redline... the stock filter is a high quality piece that works perfect.
