That been debated on what will last longer. As for how either will look after 100K miles, that just depends on the whether the owner cares for the car or is just a slob. I've only had cloth interior cars, and they always look great years down the road and I don't have to condition it regularly either.
Oh and let me get this straight... you were shopping for used vehicles for your wife with 100K+ miles?? I'm guessing you are sleeping on the couch right?
