My thoughts originally had me buying an old police car at auction and putting the lights back on it. I tossed that idea after some research on the internet and I came across a Photo shopped version of a 2010 Camaro police car. I was hooked right away but I knew I could do it better. I had some requirements though.
First of all it still had to look like a camaro when i was done and I didn't want to add so much junk on it that it was cheesed out. Second it couldn't effect the fuel economy or top speed of the car. Roof Light bars don't like 155mph+ and I dont ever want to limit the capabilities of the car by adding a mod.
My first purchase was a go industry push bar Part #38010 for the 2010 camaro. Around 450+ dollars and its about 60 pounds I think. Not sure now. They shipped it fast but didn't ship the brackets and I was very sad. Since I was nervous on what this was going to look like I was angry I couldn't get started right away. A week later I got the parts I was missing.
Ok the first step I did was to use you tube and watch a video on how the front end comes off......
I will ad some pictures now and pick it up after this post...
Picture 1 and 2 is it mocked up on a jack stand so see how it might look.
Picture 3 is what came in the box. Oh look no mounting bracket.. Guess i will just wait a week for them to do their job right and send them out.... grrr
