Paddles are very nifty and to be honest, it just feels badass to use them. Another thing that no one is thinking about is that if you want to drive with your hand at the top of the wheel you can, just put it into straight automatic mode. You don't always have to use the paddles if you don't feel like it. But when you want to fly, put both hands on the wheel, and use your God-given opposable thumbs to shift the bad boy.

I used to hate the idea of paddle shifters too. That was until I sat behind the wheel of a new Corvette with them. Jesus they are sweet.
