Tracy, I have an RX catch can and recently had the car dyno tuned. The tune turned out great but I noticed on the way home (3 hour drive) when pulling in to a rest area and slowly cruising and idling I heard a vibration and rattle. I thought it was the exhaust so when I got home I jacked it up but all was tight. The source of the rattle was the catch can. When I heard the noise the catch can was kind of making a fizzing sound and you can hear the check valve vibrating inside. This would happen for a minute or 2 then stop, then start again and repeat the cycle. I have had it installed for about a year and 1/2. I recently moved it from the normal position over to the passenger side where the OE air intake used to be (I'm using a Vararam) and now there's 3' of hose on the in and 3' of hose on the out, routed under the TB.

I removed the catch can hoses and re-installed the OE hose between the valley cover and IM. No more noise but now the problem is I've lost some throttle response and it's kind of sluggish. Can the catch can, or removal of it, cause problems with the tune. If it was tuned with it installed and now I removed it what affect will it have on the tune? Also, why is it making this racket? I had one when I first bought it from you that made the same noise and you replaced it.

Thanks!
