In a way you are right.. in the purest test you would used the same tires or at least the same brand/make of tires since sticky tires can really help a test.

Still, unless they went to crazy R-compound tires the kind of jump they made shows that thier system did improve the handling.

We had a company bring out an Old Nova to test.. they did the before test on some BFG radial tires. When they came back to the do the after testing (with the new suspension parts) the Nova had BFG R1 racing tires.. lol.. Of course they destroyed the old times, but we didn't run the story since it was unfair. We now have tire rules we try and enforce.

But in the real world most guys that upgrade their suspensions also upgrade thier tires/wheels. Although the Camaro has some pretty good tires from the factory (220 treadwear)
