The facts you speak of are the companies themselves trying to sell you their brand CAI and show you gains with JUST a CAI. I know they gain with other mods, I'm not retarded. a CAI is like a catback or an axleback by itself.....maybe a couple of HP but by themselves they don't help in terms of HP.
