I think people claiming it's fake are people without Camaro's with the RS package. Because with a regular White LED when you reverse polarity the LED won't light up.

I believe he actually installed a blue LED instead of the white.
My wonder on this is how long the LED would last. Reversing polarity is never a good thing.
