The place that did my exhaust is also a N.C. inspection site and as far as they could tell while I was there, it still will pass the inspection.
The increase in sound is more noticable outsie the car, but I can tell a difference in the car if I am giving it a little extra throttle. The few people who have heard it were able to tell there was a difference, but I think that I would be happier with a nice set of High Flow Cats.
