I did a 100 mile highway drive today on I-87 in upstate New York...lots of hills and flat spots...(georgeous drive btw). I kept the speed around 75 MPH, drove conservative, and didnt coast once. I just had it in 6th gear 99% of the time. Going down hills I either completely let off the throttle or very lightly applied it to maintain speed. I did NOT gain anything over my "coasting down hills" technique. I'm a little surprised but I am absolutely giddy that I have a Camaro SS with over 400 horses at the wheels and I averaged 24.5 MPG. That's fargin' awesome! I'm done coasting....
It's BS that your SS gets better mileage than my LT. Even resetting my MPG while doing 70mph i can never get it past 22.
