With the Addition of a new (and presumably more expensive) engine, nicer tranny, and standard track pack you will see the price difference diminish.

Not much to be said in regards to the Camaro being superior to the Mustang... It isnt.

The two cars are (going to be) very very very close. Now I refuse to believe a 400hp mustang is going to be faster than the GT500, which is only 4.5 0-60 so dont think the GT is going to dust the SS... But it will have a power/weight adv.

The Camaro (imo) is a better looking car, and a car built more towards an emotional response than just rather a 2nd generation of the same. The GT will likely have good aftermarket, and keep a good following. If Ford does it the right way, this new GT could be one for the recordbooks. That being said the Camaro is going to still hold a great deal of attention just from its looks and the exclusive nature of owning one.

In the end they are both great options, and with both offering killer engines you wont find either to be a slouch. Pick your favorite and run with it.
