The gas pedal has become so sensitive that it is hard to push it light enough to not do a rabbit start. A couple of times I've had it where I push the gas pedal enough to keep the car from stalling when I let the clutch out, but when I pushed the gas a little the car would lurch forward so I would let off and then push it again and I ended up with the car jerking like hell. All I could do is laugh when it happened.

I didn't read of any issues about adding octane booster, anyone aware of a problem with it?

octane booster should only raise your octane a fraction of one point in a full tank and is only really good to keep the fuel system cleaner. Your erradic idle/miss was probably more likely just from bad fuel.
