On modern engines X-pipes make the most sense to me. They are designed to work better on high revving motors and make better peak power then an H-pipe. H-pipes are designed for low end torque which is nice but again...modern engines are already hampered with torque management which limits low end power anyway. Y-pipes are designed for single exit exhaust set ups like trucks.....not for your Camaro. Most aftermarket catback systems come with X-pipes anyway.
