The vantage point of any dollar amount directly correlates to a person's income/expenses. I have 3 payments currently on cars, $510 for my wife's 13 2SA Malibu, $190 for my 12 1LT/RS Cruze that I put $4000 down on and $580 for my 12 2SS/RS TF3 car that I put $10,000 down on. For my situation, I'm done. The money I'm putting out leaves us with about $1600 spending money per month after all bills are paid. At this point, I just can not afford a ZL1 or GT500. Maybe in a couple years I will be able to consider my options again.

On those numbers have you included any [ forced ] or otherwise savings , retirement budget , vacation money , etc ?
Just didn't see it there , even the emergency fund
The times change , from one direction to another , and most of us don't even know beforehand
So it's allways a good thing , to have a box with something in , just in case
And I think that's one of the reasons so many people get in trouble so quick , soon after a big pursage .
