Well, there are really two possibilities here:
1. They drove over a knife moving in and out of their shop=their fault.
2. They were screwing around in your car and drove over the knife=their fault.
If all they did was move the car to the installation area, then it is definitely their fault for leaving something like that laying around. If they drove it around-not that anyone would do that to this car-then it is still their fault. Did you check the mileage on the car before and after you dropped it off?
